Dear Bill the cockroach,

From everything that we read in the Bible to this date, it appears that 2011 may be the year that Christ returns and that would be the end of the world. You see in 4990 B.C God destroyed the world by a flood (the Noahic flood). The Lord is speaking about the end in 2 Peter 3 and makes an interesting statement in verse 8: ... But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day. He (God) puts this verse between speaking of the flood of Noah's day and the destruction of the world by fire (end of the world). If we add 7000 to 4990 B.C. we come to 2011 A.D.
Bill the mayan calender is of no significance. The Bible is the word of God. The word of God is truth. "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."
