I'm in college to be a female doctor right now, so I have the answers for you! The only 100% way of not getting pregnant or an STD is abstinence! Condoms, and birth control decrease the risk of getting pregnant but are not 100% effective. They do help alot though! As far as the pulling out method, it doesn't always work. I got pregnant a regular way, but the pulling out method is effective. Why? Because guys pre-*** before they *** all the way! You may not even notice when they do it, but they do and you can still easily get pregnant. Also if the sperm gets on or around the vagina you can still get pregnant. Sperm is like a little tadpol it will swim its way to your egg if your ovulating at the time. If you have any questions you can personally email me at jks_princess1991@yahoo.com thanks! < Kim

I had my first daughter using the pull out method. Now with my new husband it worked for 2 years before we decided to get pregnant. If the man is older, I'd say over 30 it's more effective than if the man is younger. Older men have more control and their pre-*** isn't as potent. I would still highly recommend condoms or some other type of birth control if you do not want to get pregnant. Condoms especially if not sure the man your with is 100% clean.

Pulling out is a GREAT method of birth control to use,
that is if you don't mind getting pregnant!!! ;-)
Most people who use this method will get pregnant sooner or later. The younger you are, the more fertile you are, and the more likely it is that you will get pregnant faster.
With the withdrawal method, the man can still put sperm into the cervix because they have pre-ejaculatory fluid, which contains loads of sperm. And also, many men don't pull out in time, because it is very tricky to do this, and they ejaculate into the woman.
For both of these reasons, this method does not work and is not reliable. Why not get on the birth control pill, the birth control patch, the birth control ring, Depo-Provera injections, the Mirena IUD, the diaphragm, or condoms in conjunction with Ensure spermicidal inserts? There are so many birth control options, why play with fire?

Are you serious about the question of condoms being more effective? Pulling out is the least effective of anything aside from taking the whole load!
I have a child as a result of pulling out, and know of MANY others, too! Watch out if that's not what you want, either, because a friend of mine has twins form that.
A guy still releases semen even when not ejacutaling!

I think the pulling out thing worked for me. But every body is different too. I got with my husband when I was 15, and we did the pull out thing for 8 years. Then we got married and decided to try, and it only took me once to get pregnant. But I don't reccommend it to anyone either. So I would either go on the pill or make him wear condoms

Yup... I got pregnant... so no it does not work. Condoms AND pulling out are a much better method than just pulling out with no condom.

It is affective if your partner works with you. Meaning you to half to have self desapline enough to when you feel that climax to pull out and you half to remind him to do it. The best way is by condoms, then you willn't half to worry about pulling out and you can finish what you started. And i have never gotten pregnant with the pull out method but I enjoyed the use of condoms better and so did he.

My best friend got pregnant using the "pull out" method. I have another friend who got pregnant using the pill -- she didn't miss any days either. That just goes to show you that no form of birth control is 100%.
