He's moved in with this nice boy called Tarquin and they are making their own curtains.
Should I organise a candle light supper for them?

Worried about what? That your son has found a hobby that he enjoys? That he's doing something like needlework rather than drugs or drag racing or some other sport where you can be injured or killed? Or are you worried that because he has found interest in something unusual he's going to decide to have sex with men? As far as I can tell, that's a very long logical leap.
Get a book and learn about needleworok yourself, be interested and involved in his life, and be open and honest with your SON. Then you won't have to worry, you'll know.

Is this supposed to be funny? MissedXXX!

No, if you have a son who has taken up needlework, encourage him to be creative. Send him money for fabric and yarn. Give him a subcription to a DIY mag.
If you are implying that your son might be homosexual, and this is distressing to you, you might try reading a bit or talking to him and find out how it is for HIM. This is not about you!
Gay or straight, bi- or curious, love your son and accept him as a credible person trying to figure out how to live in the world, just as you are. He has an especially rough go of it, because of society's
leanings-one way or the other.
Love is the answer, not judgement.

No. Isn't it nice for you to see that your son isn't only good at school but at the house also?
Needlework doesn't mean anything it is a simple activity that anybody can do.

Why? Is needlework dangerous? Many people who do needlework, knitting or crocheting do it to relieve stress. Be glad that he has found a positive way to do this, instead of drinking or drugs.

It depends why he is taking it. I have a BS in computer science and I took Women Studies during my undergrad. I took it because it was in the list of gen ed requriements which are different for every school. If he is taking it due to that then I'm sure he is doing it to finish that gen ed block.

I wouldn't be! Needle work require high concentration and perhaps even dexterity. Hey, it's better then him yahoo-ing around town with a bunch of drunken girls or getting arrested for stealing cars (just to name a few)

No. It is an excellent way to deal with stress and calm nerves because it is repetative and takes consentration (not A LOT but a good deal).
