Consider yourself lucky there because you have an important visitor in your house which are the most popular and widely used beneficial insects for commercial and home use. Ladybugs are capable of consuming up to 50 to 60 aphids per day but will also eat a variety of other insects and larvae including scales, mealy bugs, leaf hoppers, mites, and various types of soft-bodied insects. They will feed on other pests, but are best known to eliminate the aphid population, and are one of the most active predators, searching from dawn to dusk for food. So if you probably have some insects that are unwanted from your house like maybe ants or termites, then you have your ladybugs their to help you eliminate them without searching for them yourselves. Your house may have a lot of warmth in them as well because ladybugs hibernate when it is cold so you'll probably not see them during the cold season. Might as well allow them to stay in your house for a while if you prefer and do as they wish. Goodluck!

Actually - I guess it could depend on where you live and what the climate is like there. I remember a couple yrs ago when we were invaded by these ladybugs (aka: japanese beetles). They were all over the house. The light fixtures would be full of them in a couple days. Don't know why... maybe they are trying to find a warm place before winter sets in ???

According to some Ladybugs are dedicated to the Virgin Mary, hence their English name; others say they were originally dedicated to an earlier Goddess. The Dutch name of the Ladybug, "Lieveheersbeest" means "Dear Lord's Animal".
Ladybugs are considered to be symbols of fire and the Sun. It is said that if one lands on your clothing you will soon get married. If it lands on your flesh or hair you will have good fortune.

I don't know about any spiritual significance to ladybugs, but they are good for your garden since they eat aphids. Maybe leave your window open so they can go out if they want.

Ladybugs tend to show up in the spring and in the fall, so it is the time of year for them. They usually show up in groups. One of the many benefits to having them around is that they eat pests.

They probably are not ladybugs, they are Japanese lady beetles. Are they more orange or dull as opposed to bright red?

You need to spray for bugs, every one has them. Alot of people say they bite, never had it happen.

If they are ladybugs, cool. Leave them there.

Jovana,

My dad died nearly 6 months ago. I went to my nephews birthday party. I asked for a sign that my dad be present with his nephew at his birthday and to "give a sign." Lo and behold, my nephew spots a ladybug on his knee! I knew it was a sign from my dad. My nephew goes awwww, and scoops up the ladybug and frees it. I felt it was my dad then and there. That night I dreamed about my dad and my nephew, that he was watching over him.

When the weather turns cold ladybugs cluster together to stay warm. They must have decided that your house is nice and warm.
