With a Communist regime and a power hungry leader, North Korea should not even be allowed to have nuclear power.

No they should not be allowed to conduct nuclear exercises. They were part of the original group of asian countries that signed a delcaration to remain nuclear free. They renigged on that, and now this is what we have.

i do agree completely. When nuclear issues were first created in WWII the global community, and as a result the UN was formed to police matters of global safety regarding all things including nuclear ability.

We are all responcible, and North Korea is especially so. They have lied and broken treaties and signed acts and promises on this issue since the 50s.

Every time they make the issue worse, and become more of a threat. We have never threatened to attack, nuke, or invade the DPRK, infact we and other countries they are targeting have been providing their country with aid off and on through the years. Yet here they are in an arms race to defend themselves from what they have fabricated to be a threat.

They are the only threat, to themselves and the rest of the world.

I dont know how best it should be delt with. But it should be delt with just the same.

North Korea and any other country should have the last say in what goes on in their country. Just because George Bush wants to rule the world and has most of the other countries scared out of their wits does not mean that North Korea should knuckle under to them. The international community should stay the hell out and North Korea decide their own fate. However they should be made aware that the use of nuclear weapons on any other country will get them vapourized.

Our current leadership is not capable of conducting anything other than the initial military strikes which we would eventually win (Not as easily as in the middle east). We don't have the leadership with the expertise or will to things after the initial victory however. Therefore if I was stuck with Rumsfield I would do nothing except push for sanctions and make noise and threats. As we are now doing. Sucks be we have gotten into a hole that it will take some time to dig our self out of.

Its a tricky matter, but lets face some facts.
1) There is no appreciable gains from them attacking anyone and knows that we'll kick them down within the first month.
2) They are a poverty stricken nation with little support from the rest of the world, especially since China isn't soo communist right now.

This is a bluff move the get help without begging. Too bad there's nothing good in that country or we would have invaded them by now...

I would give them some more nuclear tests by dropping some of our bombs on them to "test" to see if they work.

I would drop the biggest g*dd*mn*d bomb I could find right on top of chairman mini-mao's flat little head. Then i'd ask, "Who's next?'
