I am scared of something bad happening. This pregnancy took a long time to acheive. I am alright with not haveing sex for a while but I just wanted to hear from other people what you did. Also, I am having a hard time thinking I am still pregnant, I always feel like the pregnancy tests were wrong for some reason. LoL I know kinda weird, I do have a lot of symptoms, not morning sickness yet, thank goodness. Thanks for you answers!

Since you had a difficult time conceiving I don't think it would be a good idea at this time. Six weeks pregnancy is a very fragile time and a miscarriage could happen for anyone. Waiting until you are further along would probably better. But absolutely it is OK to have sex during pregnancy. At the end of pregnancy is another time you need to be careful because it could make you go into early labor. Congratulations and HAPPY MOTHERHOOD.

As long as you are not in a high risk pregnancy you should be ok. Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. I refer to it almost daily right now and I am due Feb 2, 2007. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

Yes it's totally fine to have sex at 6 weeks pregnant.

In fact, sex during pregnancy is healthy for you.

Congrats! And the morning sickness usually doesn't kick in for another few weeks so I hope you don't end up having it too bad!

First of all it's ok for you to be scared. Talk to your doctor so he can assure you that you will not be harming the baby if you have sex now. I f you still feel uncomfortable just wait awhile. My problem was I did not want to have sex for the 9 months I was pregnant. Lucky for me my husband was very understanding and after we talked to the doctor he was able to understand why I did not want to have sex. After I had the baby I tried my best to wear my husband out! We have 3 sons.

As to what the doctors have told me
you can have sex until the day you go into labor
in other words it is okay to have sex when pregnant,
unless the doctor tells you otherwise,
If you are healthy I don't see why not.
And if you are not comfortable having sex then just talk about it with your
partner I am sure he can understand.

Absolutely it is! Been there - done that. You could actually have sex up until close to the time the baby is born. Go ahead and enjoy... It's only "An Old Wife's Tail" that the husband's thing hits on the baby's head... Doesn't happen.

Yes, its fine. I had a friend who had sex 3 days before her baby was born.

Have you gone to the doctor to confirm that you are pregnant? If so then the test was not wrong :) Rest easy!

for many morning sickness doesnt happen until the 24th week, and for some it doesnt happen at all. it is perfectly safe to have sex throughout your pregnancy, but consult a physician about the idea
