I'm tempted to say something about the first few answers but I won't. I know other people are thinking it too.

Hi. Sulfur dioxide has a rotten egg smell (actually rotten eggs have a sulfur dioxide smell) but I don't think the quantity in Saturn's atmosphere is enough to detect by nose.

No one has been to Saturn. The question is similar to "if something smells like eggs and farts and no one is around to sniff it, does it still smell"?

i have never been to saturn.. but i dont think so... the atmosphere of saturn is composed of helium and hydrogen, with trace amounts of methane and ice water.

if there is sulfur, it should smell like rotten eggs and fart.

According to a resident I talked to, it's too cold to smell much. It's basicly like approaching Newark, or Gary, Indiana in the winter.

The last time I was there, it smelled more like either wet cat and cheese or ham and feet. I'm bringing some baking soda with me next time.
