They are snickering because of that old addage about penis size relating to your hands and feet. You must be built really tiny in that area is what they are thinking. I think its pretty unusual to have feet that small specially at 5' 10" however i only wear 71/2-8 and im 5'8". How do you keep from tippipng over. Ill bet your feet are strong as hell!

For your height a 9-11 would be the norm. So, I guess a 5 or 6 would be pretty small. However, my fiance is 6'5" and he wears an 11.
Small feet does not necessarily mean you're less endowed as your larger footed friends.

Who makes these rules? My husband is 6' tall, 170 lbs, and a size 8 shoe. He is perfect!! When we met he was 24yrs. old, and wore a size 6 and a half. His feet grew to the eight in his late 30's.

size 6 would be really small for a 5'9".
beyond that is OK a good size for your stature would be 9 or 10.
of course all depends how your body structure is if you are heavy is good too have bigger feet; and if you're smaller in size small feet will go well.

It doesn't really matter. Anything below a 9 would be considered unusually small.
