Basic things are good to buy. Like the mattress pad for the crib or bassinet, yellow sheets for either. Some neutral receiving blankets, lap changing pads, burp cloths, bottles, pacifiers, plain white onesies.

I would suggest buying things you'll need no matter whether it's a boy or girl. For other things, if you want to buy more once you find out, just get a couple of neutral things (yellow) so at least you will have something. That way you have your basics, just in case, and you can go shopping later to buy boy or girl stuff. That's what I did. I wanted it to be a surprise, so I got lots of the basics and neutral things for my baby shower. Then later I got a couple more girly blankets and onesies and clothes and stuff. I have done a majority of my shopping at Walmart. They have everything separated boy or girl or unisex, and they always have decent prices.

go to target and register! babies r us also has a registry - both of which you can do online if you want - or update them online.

to buy now: blankets, white onsies, jammies, socks, pacifiers, bottles, bottle cleaner, bibs, rompers, towels & wash clothes

babies r us has really cute clothes too, they're a little more pricey. target had far more stuff than walmart does. i did some shopping at ross & mervyn's too. old navy has some really cute stuff too that can be unisex - especially the shirts. don't buy too far ahead in the clothes though - my son is almost 14 months and is only in 9-12 month clothes and my girlfriend's baby who is the same age is almost in 2T, so you may end up off seasonally.

congratulations!

registering is super fun too!

Stick with buying something mint green or yellow thats what I always did. Buy some baby bath towels of any color. If you have a Babies R Us around you or walmart where my favorite places. If still worried about the clothing stick to bottles and toys that could be unisex. I loved doing my shopping early because I couldnt wait untill he came

Buy lots of wash cloths and towels and start to buy lots of diapers. Don't buy too may newborn diapers. Get the baby lots of different brands of diapers to see which ones work the best. Try a lot of the cheaper brand diapers you may be surprized that they may work better. Its hard to say what to buy if you are going to have a baby shower, but you can never go wrong with the diapers. Don't buy to many size 1 or 2, but do stock up on the size 3 snd up.

here are some suggestions. Crib, swing, changing table, diapers (you are going to need alot of them m ight as well start stocking up while you can), sleepers ( alot of sleepers can be either sex), and any other clothes that can be either sex. With clothes always buy ones that can be for either boy or girl unless they tell you it is going to be a boy. My son was supposed to be a girl but they were wrong so he had to wear pink diapers for 6 months because of baby presents not having reciepts. Congrats and good luck. Hope you got a good name picked out. Just don't name a boy something that can be either girl or boy and try and go with something uniqe. By the way my son turned one yestererday so ultra sounds are still not perfect.

Almost everything for a baby except clothes is unisex. And If you buy things like sleepers, t-shirts, onesies, socks, most of those are too. If you do a nursery in things like blues, yellows and soft greens then it could be for either a girl or boy. And here, we have outlet malls..where almost everything is at a discount and they are all named brand stores. Walmart also carries alot of baby things at a great cost too. Good Luck..and CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!

You can shop anywhere for baby stuff. Yellow and tan are good unisex colors. Try resale for some so you can throw it if you don't want it when the baby is born and you will know the sex of the child. CONGRATS!!

Buy green or yellow outfits or white that isn't girly or boyish. towels wash rags bath stuff diapers (you can never buy to many) white socks you will need many pairs of socks

anywhere is a good place to buy them, go to a store that is in your price range and shop. I have gotten good deals at Macy's and good deals at Wal Mart, and no difference in the quality of the product.

Buy onsies. They are t-shirts that snap like a body shirt. These undershirts do not ride up like a regular shirt when you pick the baby up. They keep them cool in the summer and warmer in the winter when used with other clothing. I am a mother of four.
