My birthfather and step mother (both new to me) asked me to please stay with them and their son of 17. I have been in contact with them for one year now. I came for a visit after 6mos. of emailing and talking on the phone and decided to stay upon their request. I have been here for 6 mos. now. Things are oblivious to my younger brother and not much goes on at the house unless its some woman with my Dad while his wife is in bed. However, I do get the impression that he trys to involve her (his wife). They always sit outside and watch the stars. It just bugs me. They watch for ufos.

I think that whatever the two of them have worked out as far as their relationship goes is up to them. Years ago this used to be called "open marriage", where spouses could hook up with anyone else they wanted, so long as they didn't leave the marriage.

This lifestyle may not be right for everyone, but if one of them isn't complaining, especially your father's wife, then you can bet they've agreed on this lifestyle and find nothing wrong with it.
