I agree and I in particular get viruently angry when a socialist uses that descriptor to legitimize their marxist ways.
Why not drop the name, they are as far from liberalism as you can get, come out of the closet and start calling yourselves socialists, which is a fact.

The word, not really. It states someone's political alignment, like Democrat. The way it's used, as an insulting phrase synonymous with socialist, that is tiresome.

Liberal? Whatever, I am one. They like to think they're insulting, but if you take pride in the word, it takes its power away.
