I think you should have a complete rest for a few days for the
shoulder to heal and get back its strength again. Avoid playing
the guitar for a while and don't take chances. You may not
dislocate it by playing the guitar, but you may stress it by
applying some pressure while playing the guitar which is bad
for the recovery of the shoulder.
I hope you heed the good advice given.

I am a woman, and yes I dislocated my shoulder...my husband put it back in place, then I went to the doctors. I did this like 4 years ago, and every once in awhile it still hurts. Playing the guitar should be fine, just take it slow. Don't do too much, too soon. Did they suggest physical therapy? That helped me a little. But mostly don't push yourself too hard, or too fast since it is a newer injury. Take care.

Shoulder joints are pretty strong - you wouldn't dislocate it again but I'd imagine it would be very sore. You should be careful a rest for a few days.

no I think not ..any stress such as pulling or lifting can dislocate your shoulder and I don't think any harm can be caused by playing a guitar if in doubt call hospital and ask !!

IT REALLY DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH PRESSURE YOU PUT ON YOUR SHOULDER.
