It would take too long to write it out and it's not a country that celebrates it, it's Christians so you could have a Christian family in some country and no-one else could celebrate it except that family!!!

Its not rude at all. But german people do have christmas so don't ask as if does germany celebrate, ask from their personal point of view. You're prob from america, so some people sometimes get annoyed because SOME american people often assume that america is the only modern country that does all these things. I'm not saying you but just try not to make it sound like that. I'm from south africa and I've received really weird questions like is there wild animals in the streets, and how can you be using a pc or internet in sa and do we have to walk everywhere like in the bush. Lol people don't realise we're a civilized place but ya there's nothing wrong with asking whether they celebrate christmas or not :) sorry for ranting on lol

It is unusual for anyone who is not a christian to do this, after all it is the celebration of the birth of Christ. Some people who do not believe in God still celebrate it in a commercial way, they have days off work, they give presents to their family/friends and decorate their homes. Their children get caught up in school celebrations and very often expect their parents to also conform. It has become more of a December festive celebration than a religious one.I expect this is repeated in other `christian` countries around the world.

All countries have some Christmas celebrations, in many it's only a good time to have fun with no religious meaning!

Actually, "countries" do not celebrate Christmas. PEOPLE celebrate Christmas. So, it will entirely depend on the person and what their family traditions are.

All countries with Christian beliefs will celebrate it.There are different traditions in clothing and food. Generally this is to adapt to the local weather and customs. There is no snow in December in countries like Australia and South Africa. We like a warm fire but to them a fire would boil them in the already hot summer.
I think you should save some money and go there one Christmas, you'll find it wonderful.
