back in the early 90's say 91 or 92 there were very tiny ponies not even an inch tall with about two to three inches of hair for both the maine and tail. i can't remember what they were called or even who made them. please help!

Oh I know!!!! I had those too! There were actually two that I had: One was a kind of MLP. There was only one kind which had real hair like you said. Several of those appear in the MLP collectors book by Debra L Birge, as well as the OTHER tiny ones which were by either Soma or Remco, both "knock off" brands who responded accordingly to Hasbro's "Pony Tail Ponies". They had on little 80's style clothing, like denim-looking jackets and roller skates (painted-on). I loved them too. If you want to find them, or if what you're looking for is different, look on EBay. I've found some before by accident while looking for My Little Ponies.

My Little Ponies! I have about 100 of them in a box somewhere. They were very popular in the 80's and early 90's!

They could be Micro Mini Grand Champions, they had 3 adults and two babies in each set. The adults were 2 in. high though, and the maine and tails are plastic. The first sets of these also came out in '97, not '91...I hope this helps anyway!

I was just looking on ebay and found something called Breyer(brand name) mini whinnies, maby that's what you are thinking of, if not, try looking under collectibles-horse and search for miniature or micro mini. Good luck!

You could be thinking of My Little Pony. It had a cartoon also, but they where a little taller than 1 inch.
