Your breasts will never be the same, regardless of whether you breast -feed or not but it is true however that breast-feeding will make them sag more. The bonding that happens during this time is so important, and in my opinion well worth saggy breasts. Dont miss out on this joyous part of motherhood just so you look better.... besides, if you are pregnant there is most likely a significant other in your life and most men appreciate you sacrificing yourself for their child. Best of Wishes!

I breastfed for a year, my breasts were bigger while i was nursing, but when I stopped, went back to their old size. Some women get and stay bigger from nursing, others stay the same or become smaller. It varies from woman to woman. But thats not the point. The benefits for both baby AND YOU greatly outweigh any superficial concerns. My daughter never got sick while I was nursing. I lost ALL My pregnancy weight. It bonds you. It makes your child healthier. It decreases your chances of breast cancer. Its faster to just whip out your boob then have to get up and make a bottle when you are dead tired. You can go anywhere with your baby, and never have to worry about having enough for them to eat. You will be doing what mother nature intended for your child, the healthiest thing for your child. It can be really hard at first, but if you make it past the first couple weeks, it becomes second nature. Dont worry about your boobs. Once the baby is born, everything will be about the baby, and you wont have time to focus on menial things anymore. Being a parent is about doing what is right for your child, even if its uncomfortable or difficult for you.

No, and I've breastfeed two babies.
The one problem is, you will get use to seeing them big. They are big when you are pregnant and will get bigger when you breastfeed (especially when engorged). Then when you stop they will look extra small. But really, they just went back to the old size. At least that's what's happened to me! :-)
Good luck with both the baby and breastfeeding! GIve it a try, cause it's great for the baby! (Plus formula is SOOO expensive)

My first I only breastfeed for 6 months, the second 9 months.
One thing that did change though, not from breastfeeding, but from being pregnant is my # size. My ribcage expanded from 34 to 36. Apparently this isn't uncommon.

I went up 3 cup sizes and they have not gone down, so they did change but definitely not ruined! I nursed 4 years, everything that I have heard and read say that pregnancy hormones and gravity are what make breast saggy, not breastfeeding.

I breastfed my youngest daughter for a year and it worth every effort...she is HEALTHY and happy.
I think the effects on the breasts is much like who gets stretch marks during pregnancy and who doesn't - it's in the genes. I don't see any difference in my breasts, they went back to "normal" when I stopped nursing. Aside from a couple of little nearly invisible stretch marks (from ballooning to the size of watermelons) I'm okay. Good bra's are a MUST!!! Invest in a couple you'll be glad you did!

I think it was more the pregnancy , and size changes. I went from nice 32c to pregnant boobs to gigantic milk boobs (34DD) to ugly mom boobs 34c. A lot of skin stretching, i think my nipples would have never looked that way at my age without pregnancy!
I nursed 3 months. I was 19, then, then got nice implants at 21. I think that's what everyone is doin now! It was that or a lift. I was happy with my choice, and it hasn't affected the ability to breast feed. I know a lot of other implant moms, too.

Don't listen to other people with crazy comments. As long as you take care of you breasts (cream, heat/ice packs etc...) you should have no problem. I had no problem with breastfeeding and my breasts were not effected at all. The only issue I had was when they were drying up they hurt but that goes away.

hi! I breastfed for about 5 months, I wouldnt say Ruined...but one is more droopier than the other, and it was the breast that I fed from more, the other had an inverted nipple so it was hard.

Good Luck! Im pregnant with my 2nd so im still going to breast feed, im just going to make sure I do it evenly.

Have Fun!

I nursed three kids, each for almost a year, each time my boobs went up a cup size, but have never gone down to my original size, of course I don't weigh what I did either. My boobies haven't been ruined by breastfeeding , but thats me, everyones different. Good luck!

Don't worry about your breasts. Breastfeeding is the best thing you could give your baby. Yes it does stretch them out some, but it just depends on every women.
