we met in highshool and have been through hell and back about a million times we have been through more stuff than most couples that are married no matter what we go through we can never seem to be without eachother i feel like i want to marry him cause its been 8 yrs but i wanted some feed back are we just use to eachother or is this the real thing do we need to drop all the other crap commite to one another for good

I have been with mine for six, and we have two kids, and we are married in our hearts, but not by paper. I call him my husband and I am his wife, and their is no one we know who disputes that.
In fact we are more committed to each other than most of our married friends who have had affairs, and ended with divorce.
Neither one of us are afraid of marriage it's just not been a priority because instead of concentrating on the status and the acceptance of societys standards were too busy loving each other and creating our own acceptance and standards.
If you love him, and you feel you need to be married, then marry him, if not then dont.
A piece of paper can be torn up an tossed away it means nothing.
But love can be torn up shredded, withstand the highest tempatures of fire and still persevear, thats what matters, and remember this real love is not, and I repeat not a sin. Is it a sin to lay with someone in a loveless marriage, because without love there is the lack of god. You think maybe that's what the scriptures meant, and the true meaning has been imposed upon us. Go with your heart honey, the acceptance of yourself and the man you love, not the love of acceptance from others, that is only superficial, and serves the soul no purpose.

Commit already what is your guy's problem. Its been 8 years which one of you is scared. If that is the case leave and find someone that you want to marry and wants to marry you. 8 years is a long time to be together and not be married.
