I was just wondering what makes female chavs think that wearing those hideous gold hoop earrings, fake Burberry, tacky tracksuits, scaped back hair, fake tan and thick make-up etc makes them look good. The men are just as bad, ridiculously baggy trousers, hoodies and baseball caps topped off with ugly thick gold rings on their fingers. Don't they own mirrors?

Mom Cat- Chavs are basically the lowest class of people in the UK, ignorant people who live on council estates who can't be bothered to work so they live off state benefits. They tend to smoke, drink and steal.

You can say that about any body's clothing its all down to taste also what makes them feel good , you wouldn't like what I wear leather biker jacket with loadsa badges combat jeans t shirts with logo or chains , but its what I feel comfy wearing , I do it for me nobody else , also I wear make up , Gothic jewellery, I love it ,its me.

They dress they way they do because chavs are completely feral and regard themselves as one huge nationwide gang.
When they see some other dimwit wearing fake Burberry, with their midriff all puffy and white, hanging over their tracky bottoms, and the obligatory hoodie (undone but pulled up over the head - be grateful, they all have fearful acne), they know that's another 'bruvva' or 'sista' (innit) and they know not to be robbing them.
"Don't they own mirrorrs"? you ask. Tigger Girl - what are you like!!! Do they need mirrors? When they all shag anything in Burberry? They don't care what each other looks like because, just like vermin they have to breed, and they do - daily with anything of the same underclass.
I'm glad they are so easy to spot because then you can easily I.D where not to live near.

If they didn't dress like that, there wouldn't be any chavs, would there? They dress like that to be classed as a chav. It's like the Teddy Boys in the 50s or the Punks in the 70s, they have a style of dress that sets them apart from the norm and makes them identifiable to others of their ilk.

People are free to wear what they like. discriminating against someone because of the clothes they wear is as ridiculous as discriminating against someone because of their skin colour or what hole they choose to put their willy in! Personally I think they do it as a fingers up to snobs like you.
P.S. Chavs don't wear baggy trousers, they wear Adidas sports trousers which are too short and tuck them into their socks!!

that's their fashion statement as ugly as it may be and when everyone around you dresses the same way i guest you think nothing is wrong. it's like when you were younger some of the stuff you wore then i bet you won't dare ware it again and that was a stage but i don't think chavs grow out of their fashion dilemma.they dress bad but that's all i think about them i don't judge them as people.

Christmas kind of sweaters, ties or shirts. steel fabric in gold or silver and yuletide rings with lots of glitz, bling, bling! have exciting! while you're no longer petrified of being stupid, placed on a santa hat or some antlers! placed on some "Jingle Bells" and evoke my call.....!

I think it's to do with wanting to look like they have money. Some shallow people are impressed when they see designer gear even if its fake - bit sad really.

It's sad that society has become this way. That all these crappy clothes you mention has become fashionable. But everyone is entitled to look how they want so if they want to look like idiots just let them.
