hate to say it but every answer in here is wrong.

The asian and emerging markets took a hit when Kimberly had her nuke party Japan and S. Korea took the biggest hits. On the US front it did drop right at the start of trading but by the time the markets opened it didn't register much reaction in the US. They are rumored to be staging another one in Defiance of the Useless Nations resoultion. It will take more than this to jolt the market and comparing it to 9/11 no comparion it was deliberate attack from a terrorist organization with a well planned attack scheme and that really jolted the markets hard.

The nuclear test in north Korea had on effect on stock exchanges
because some kind of test was anticipated. It was not a total surprise and did not affect anybody at this moment. 9/11 was
not at all anticipated and it killed people and damaged property.
The market took a hit but it came back in 2 weeks when it was established there was no other danger and US was taking all
emergency procedure to stop such a calamity.

Well they claim to have done a test but the market has continued to climb during this period; the Dow is as high now as it was in 2000.

The markets fell sharply during 9/11 events (obviously) until the exchanges closed until 17th September. They rose steadily thereafter and had regained all losses (Dow opened 14% down) within a couple of weeks of trading.

It depends how the markets perceive the consquences. If they would believe it would escalate in a wordlwide nuclear war, all markets would crash, but you probably would not care long, becasue you would die. If the markets do not believe in escalation, than N-Korea is too insignificant to have a real effect.

The fallout of a nuke can impact everywhere if the nuke is exploded in one in all those way as to get into the climate varieties. rather, if a nuke's radiation is interior of area of particular varieties of chemical components you are able to desire to have worldwide extensive impact from it. IN that particular chemical components whilst blended with radiation might properly be deadly to plenty greater suitable than the asian area. and that's regardless of a bomb guard. maximum bomb shelters are completely valueless for many of what a nuke can do even on radiation.
