If you oversleep, you slip back into your deep-sleep cycle. If you wake up from your deep sleep cycle you are still tired.

Usually if you sleep a normal amount of time you will slip into deep sleep (REM) and when your body comes back out into the not deep sleep, you can wake up refreshed.

TOO MUCH SLEEP IS JUST AS BAD AS NOT GETTING ENOUGH. KEEP IT BETWEEN 7-8 HOURS AND YOU'LL BE FINE
