i was driveing home from work 5 hours ago approx and don mcleans american pie came on the radio and i've been singing it ever since lol. i think its on for the day.

I do that a lot. A song will come on while I'm driving and I'll sing it for hours. I work at home now, so the last time it happened was a long time ago (more than 1 year).

Ever hear Weird Al Yankovic's cover of that tune? It's all about Star Wars episode I. I've listened to that cover so often now I've almost forgotten how the lyrics really go. American Pie is a fine song though.

Great record for it`s time but, glad I don`t drive being stuck in a traffic jam with nothing more than American Pie on the radio would do my head in.

Every time I hear the song. I remember years ago playing it again and again until I had learnt all the words. Now when its on the radio they never play all of it and its a bit of a disappointment, but I continue the part that they left out in me head.

Every day. My little boy was watching Thomas The Tank Engine before I went to work the other day. All day long all I could hear running through my head was "They're two, they're four, they're six, they're eight. Shunting trucks and hauling freight."
Trust me I would much rather be thinking about "Bye, bye Miss American Pie. Drove my Chevy to the..."

i do it all the time hun i will hear a song sometimes a song i dont even like and il sing or hum it all day! i wake up sometimes in the morning and 4 no reason start singing a song out of nowhere and i will keep singing it all day!
now uve put that song in my head-thanx! hehe x

Uugghh - I hate it when I get a song stuck in my head! Especially when I only know one line and sing it over and over and over again!
I remember in my Geography A-Level I had a line from Alanis Morrissete stuck in my head the whole time ;
"It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife"
Couldn't think of anything else!!!

never had a problem with singing that song ~ i believe it to be one of the worst songs on the radio ~ But I do get stuck with Blinded by the Light getting in my head

I actually know every word to that song.
Yeah, I get songs stuck in my head all the time. It's nothing new. Often I'll have the same on for several days.

Me Too!, It really hits me when I'm lying in bed trying to go to sleep and all the sudden the words begin repeating in my head and they wont go away, then the next morning I get up and begin brushing my teeth to the same tune, It's so annoying!
