It's the zip code part of your address. Everyone has had one since way back when. In fact, it's now called zip plus 4.

If you do not live in the USA, or Canada, you don't have a zip code.

Whatever you are signing up for is either available ONLY in the USA, or it should allow you to enter YOUR country and then not require a zip code, if you do not have one in your address. British address, for example, have a postal code which is longer that a zip code.

If you DO live in the USA, you should already know your zip code - it's the numbers that come after the state.

ZIP codes are used by the U.S. Postal Service.

Your ZIP code is part of your mailing address.

Each postal district (post office) is identified by a set of numbers -- their ZIP code.

Some towns have only one ZIP code, whereas cities have many.

You can call your local post office to ask what your ZIP code is.

In the United States we originally had postal zones such as Los Angeles 28, CA. That was later changed to a zip code to include the region of the country such as Los Angeles, CA 90028. In other countries it is called the postal code.
