yeah its perfectly normal. when i came home i was so excited to get to see my wife again. I'm sure your family readiness group gave you some pointers on redeployment jitters. just take it slow. and don't use him up too quick, remember he's still got to eventually get back to a PT formation. ;)

I go through this with my husband a lot. I get VERY nervous when he comes home. My husband isn't gone for a year at a time, he's gone for several months at a time. I know how you feel.
I spend the day he's coming home getting the house ready, making a nice dinner, and making sure that I look my very best before he gets there. It helps get your mind off of being nervous and makes you a little more excited. It also makes the time go by faster.

Yes, and you have every right to be nervous and excited for your Army Man being gone. I got so nervous when I was flying from
Phoenix to San Diego in 1979 to see a family (Mom &7 kids) who
lost their Army Dad 3 years earlier in a freak accident with the
Ocean eating him up and I was so excited because the kids were
growing up and Mom was doing good. When we were sitting in
the airport restaurant the smallest boy said, "Are You My New Daddy?" It shocked all of us but then Terri Busted up laughing &
so did everyone. Have a good time...lol

Yes, i have. I would say that is completely normal. Especially after such a long time.
I would be more concerned if you *weren't* feeling nervous, truth be known.
I do hope it all goes well for the both of you.
