I experienced the same cramping when I was in my first trimester of pregnancy, with both my children. My midwife explained to me this is the uterus stretching as baby is growing and requiring more room. I was concerned about the cramping but as long as I wasn't spotting or bleeding I soon realized my body is just doing what it has too. With my second child I wasn't bothered by them so much. Now, I am the proud mother of two beautiful children, and I say to you try not to spend so much time worrying about the baby and just enjoy being pregnant. Nothing in the world can compare to having a baby grow inside you! I would do it all over again if my husband would agree to it. He says I'm crazy.

I am 34 weeks with my first and experienced cramping off and on the entire pregnancy. During months 3-4 you will get more cramping because you will have more growth then. And then you will start having some braxton hicks around 6-8 months. None of it is cause for worry. Trust me you will get many many more symptoms that you will ask the Doc about and he will almost always say " yeah that's ok" try not to take offense.

In the first few weeks of pregnancy you will feel quite unwell. Your body will be adjusting to all the hormonal changes and this is quite normal. How ever, you are also anxious and that's not good for you or your baby. Please don't worry, just go and see your doctor or the nurse and explain what you have here. You can also pick up some literature on pregnancy which will explain in more detail about all the changes going on inside of you. If you have someone close to you take them with you for additional support. Don't be frightened, having a baby is the most natural thing in the world, it's such a miracle. Make sure you eat nutritious food and try not to smoke because that will make you more sick and it's really not good for baby either. Good luck and congratulations!

Yes its normal. Its not braxton hicks, its your tendons and muscles stretching. It feels like period cramps and its perfectly normal.

Just wait until the round tendons start stretching AND the braxton hicks kick in. You'll lay around and be miserable and think you and the baby are dying.

The more you move and are active the easier it is for them to expand for your growing uterus and the pain will pass more quickly.

its 100% totally normal. I had them for the first three months. In fact, in the begining i didnt know i was pregnant and wore a pad and took tylenol for two weeks thinking it was my period.

Some cramping is normal as your uterus starts to grow. However, always trust your instincts. If you feel that something is not right, then see your doctor. If they tell you not to worry and you don't need to come, insist for an appointment. Your instincts are something you will really need to rely on as a new mother, so start trusting them now!

yes, I still have this once in a while, its your uterus growing ans ligaments streatching. It will subside a bit, but believe me, with my 1st pregnancy, I was always scared at every twinge and tingle, I thought i was loosing the baby at one point and went to the hospital with severe pains in my stomach, found out I wasnt drinking enough I was dehydrated,
This is definatley a scary time but chances are, if you go to your doctor and have things checked out when they become suspicious you;ll be fine!

Good Luck
