Things to consider:
I love role playing games, shooters, and sports games. My recent favorite games were Morrowind and Madden. I want a system with lots of rpg potential so that a few years from now I can have dozens of quality games to choose from.
I want to be able to use my console to watch movies. What's the deal with this blue-ray (or whatever) shtuff I keep hearing about?
Just looking for other people's opinions. Thanks.

ps3 if u want the qulaity but xbox 360 will b cheaper! but the ps3 will b betr and brand new and more expenxive but the xbox used to b tht expensive but its cheaper and nt as gd!
if thgt makes sense!
id say go with the ps3!

Save your money on both and go with the Wii. I have a Xbox 360, and I must say, it is nothing special. The Wii already has some majorly awesome games from Zelda, to Super Smash Brothers. It is also said that it will be releasing more mature games, unlike the Gamecube. Plus, you can't forget about the awesome feature that lets you be the character by moving and swinging your arms and hands. Finally, it's $250 and comes with a game, which is a small price to pay compared to both the Xbox 360 and the PS3.

A X-Box 360 would be what you want. They are just now releasing the PS3, the 360 has been out for a year and has more titles available than the realease lineup that the PS3 will have. I have seen more than 8 sports games on other X-box live players gamelist, you can compare the games you've played to the games your friend's have played. Plus alot of original X-box games work on it. Elder Scrolls 4:Oblivion looks really good, and there's ChromeHounds (mech shooter), Tom Clancy games like Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Good Luck.

PS series in the past have had great RPG games made for it. (ie: FF series, DQ7 and 8. Wild Arms 1, 2, 3 to name a few). And as far as shooter and sports, I've never owned an X Box; but I've seen my friends played lota fun shooting games and sports games on X Box. So as far as game type goes, it depends on which kind you like best. However, PS3 might still be able to play DVD movies. I would look into that feature, if it's still available like PS2, then you'll probably better off with PS3. (PS2 had the same good sports game, but I think the X box had better controllers.)

360 is posed 2 b havin a pretty good line up of games coming this holiday i dont play fps and such and they all look good 2 me plus w/ 360 u have marketplace where u can test all the new games 4 FREE b-4 u buy iuno if ps3 will have that or not plus, with the option 2 buy the hd-dvd add on u wont b losing out on using the dvd on a standard dvd player bcuz hd dvd r dual layer meaning 1 side is standard (good 4 normal dvd players and tvs) and the otha is hd 4 hd tvs...the live arcade is great cuz retro games r on there and new creations everyweek theres sumthin new really errday soo obviously i pick 360 (and the wii), ps3 is just 2 expensive but eventually it may b in my living room

I'd reccomend the XBOX, much better value. Plus if you liked morrowind you will love Oblivion which i don't think is being released on PS3. XBOX plays movies just fine, don't know anything about blu-ray though. Hope this helps

If you want to spend youre money on a console that will break (like it did when it first came out), and will not have many game that ps3 does not have than go ahead and bye the xbox360...but if you want real quality wiith life like graphics then buy the PS3!!!!!!!!!!!

i think the ps3 was delayed because of problems with the exploding battery and blue-ray

PS3 is sooo expensive. if you can wait a year it should get cheaper. thought about the nintendo wii?
