I agree and you could add hypocrite to his title too. Bono was reported earlier today as busy moving his money out of Ireland for tax purposes (income for musicians in Ireland is currently tax free). You would think with all of his pontificating about what the world needs to do for the poor that he would gladly give up his own millions for the cause but alas I was mistaken (and his better music days are long behind him)

Bono is not the first person to use the poor to left their own self esteem.
I have Church Ladies who are feeding the Underpaid CONDEMN the poor for their lack. And make a 12 year old blond girl cry by accusing her of stealing food. Becuse she helped her mom get Food for her younger 3 siblings, then went back for her own helping.
I do not hear anyone saying that these church women are SELF Involved. I think Bono Is doing good without harming any of those he attempts to help, and in my humble opinion He is doing good.
I wish someone like him, would have someone like myself someone in the Poverty/ Homeless/ Hunger field, stand beside him and tell the public just how easy it would be to Cure poverty.
Even if his motive was less than generine in the get-go I think its nearly impossible to act on behalf of those mired in poverty without hearing their crys and being moved.

when did Bono "lose" his fame? U2 has consistently been creating endlessly since 1976, they are considered one of the most successful rock bands of all time-22 Grammys, which is incidentally more then any other group or solo artist EVER. They do it because they realize the ridiculousness of having all that fame and fortune and not using it for good.

Don't know his personal reasons-but some far reaching good is happening never the less.
do you support charity--
Bible says--charity covers a multitude of sin.
hungry people need help--where it comes from -they care not-
neither do I. starving children is a disgrace to america or uk while we fight a dumbed down war in Iraq.
we should be careful of calling people names who's money at least is helping.
I would help far more if I had millions.
Billions for war-not one cent to feed starving child.
bah humbug hypocrisy.

ahhhhh. A bit bitter, an ex U2 fan i suspect. I don't care, he's feeding hungry people and they are happy no matter his reason!!!! Why not talk about Madonna kidnapping that poor african baby from his village so he can forget who he is.
I mean, even Angelina has her kids live in the countries of their births and they are full orphans, Madonnas new son has a father and a lot of family members living in his village.
Bono. Atleast its only him and his ego and a few crates of food.

I don't pay much attention to Bono, but using charities to promote their own fame and fortune is a famous tactic celebrities use. That's why I hate Oprah.
