The answers to these questions is something everybody must personally decide and I think in essence that is the meaning of life.

Why are we here?
On some kind of fact-finding mission. I often feel like when or if I make it to the pearly gates it will be .."Well my child, and what did you learn while down there?". So I try and maintain a high level of curiosity of the world I live in. I find everything around me fascinating; even people whose actions are too grotesque to fit in my head.
Is there a God?
Don't know. Heard thru the grapevine they might be. Does it even matter? All I know is that there are PEOPLE...and I am more interested in doing right by my fellow human beings than living up to some fantastic ideology and carrying out certain rites and rituals; none of which, by the way, necessarily make you a better person......
What happens when we die?
Not a damn thing I hope. Frankly, I think I'll be pretty tired after all that "living" I will have done. I do hope that my spirit lives on though.......through a record of my deeds perhaps...I think that is how we live forever; when people remember us!!

Why are we here? That question is almost as old as mankind themselves.
I believe that in the beginning of mans life we were put here to live blissfully and forever-just to enjoy. Things went wrong with the first human and now I believe we are here because of the question of Gods Sovrentry and the fact that Jesus liked us even before he came to earth.
Yes there is a God and if you knew how many believers in the scientific community there were you would be surprised-about 44% of scientice are of A Christian faith.
When we die we go in to a grave and there we rot. Gruesome and bluntly put but true.
Now there is a Resurrection that's coming of all the dead and then a judgment and a chance at a life forever lasting but that is not here yet -soon though.

why are we here ? does there need to be a reason ?
is there a god ? there have been many over the years.
what happens when we die ? that might just be the end of what's happening.
my philosophy of life ? can't say i really have one. i do however try to avoid sacrificing what free will i have to a list of rules or guide lines. use spell check quite often though.

Is this question about hypocrisy, double standards?
What we believe in and do not live?
Is it about some mental formation of values?which we can give lip service to?
In that category i fear i have none!
To love wisdom and seek it out of life in all areas comes near.
To seem clever no! To win arguments no! To have read something like a parrot and call it noble no!
We are here! everybody has an opinion on this!
Is there a god? everybody has an opinion about this!
What happens when we die? everybody has an opinion on this?
What is real in you?
What is false in you?
Can you answer that for yourself?
My philosophy, if you can call it that, is simple, to discover the remarkable freedom, that hides, in simply being honest about oneself. To question all things in the right spirit of enquiry.
Someone once said that through the elimination of the false you stumble upon the truth. Truth is like a suprise when you are one with the false, without effort, without goal.

The universe is to small for what we do to really matter, but since we are here anyway we have to make the most of it, be happy and not wonder what is coming round the corner,
what does it matter what comes after death because no matter what you Believe is going to happen, everyone will find out the truth eventually when they die.
so we should go along in life trying to be as happy as possible and make the most of it as possible. ;.)

We are here though evolution.
My purpose in life is to feel good and to somehow feel i've done something in my time that my loved ones can look at with pride.
Is their a God, i would like to believe that but nothing has ever happened to me to make me believe and i just don't have that kind of faith.
When we die we get buried or cremated i cant see anything beyond that.

Wherever there isn't streaming sources of pleasure, there will be God. No matter how much disproving of God we do, God will be with us. God is a practical tool for world building. How else are the miserable to justify themselves from suicide? Pleasure is all the more palpable however. The possibility of access obliterates the pious search for immateriality. As time progresses God will transform, but wherever labor is the requirement for development, God will loom, ready to redeem the hordes of unsatisfiable workers.

My purpose is to decrease pain and increase pleasure.....all else is lost to oblivion.
In a thousand years, no one will even know that we were around. Oh, you might have your name etched on a tombstone or inked on a family tree somewhere, but even that will eventually turn to dust. Yeah, you make a difference on the people around you, your kids and their kids, but after that, you're just a distant memory.
So where does that leave you, what purpose is there for living? Like a said before, we only have a temporary purpose....decrease pain and increase pleasure.

After spending the last 16 years considering this question I have finally come to the conclusion that accepting yourself as you are; the good and the bad is probably the most comfortable way to live your life.
