In my humble opinion, it has to be the right triangle. Its properties have been known for more than 2,200 years and the Pythagorean theorem (the sum of the squares of the two legs of a right triangle is equal to the square of the hypotenuse) was eloquently proven by Euclid around 200 BC. This theorem is used constantly in all mathematical subjects.

The right triangle is also the basis for the study of Trigonometry and leads to formulas that are pertinent to any triangle, not just the right triangle.

Possibly the great pyramid at Giza, if you were to consider one of it's sides.

Other famous triangles are the food triangle (pyramid), the fire triangle, the band instrument (triangle), the greek letter Delta is a triangle.

I think it would be difficult to name a single most famous triangle.
