1 inch = 25.4 mm
1 yard = 3 feet = 36 inches = 36*25.4 mm = 914.4 mm = 0.9144 m
1 m = 1/0.9144 yard = 1.0936 yard
300 m = 300*1.0936 yard = 328.08 yard

I own many AK style rifles. The most accurate ones I've found are the VEPR milled ones (MD-2) and the Arsenal SA-M7. These are milled receiver ones, making them a little stiffer and more accurate. Of the stamped receiver models, the Arsenal SGL-21 has been good to me. I have never seem a "tack driver" AK(M) but the three I mentioned will usually give me 2moa performance. I don't shoot paper at anything past 100 yards with these firearms. I have a 12" metal gong set up at 225 yards and an 18" gong set up at 300 yards. I can honestly hit 10 out of 10 shots on the metal targets every time. So although not as accurate as a M4/AR style of firearm, it is plenty accurate for what it was designed for. (hitting "man sized" targets out to 400 yards) The VEPR's can be found for around $700-$900 on gunbroker or Atlantic firearms has them new for around $100 more. Good luck and welcome to the world of Kalishnikov.

328.0833

There are 39.37 inches in a metre, so there are (300 x 39.37) inches in 300 metres.

300 x 39.37 equals 11811; divide this by 36 (the number of inches in a yard) and you get 328.0833

(Alternatively, 300 metres is 328 yards and 3 inches)
