Barry Zito,Stated he wants to go to a new york club,Either Mets,or Yankees,NOT BOSTON!! I hope Stienbrenner pays a boat load of money for pitching.But we do have some wonder boy named Phil Huges comming up. Also Andy Pettite is a free agent. We had Ted Lilly he didn't work out in NY,,I think he'll go to Boston.Oh yes one more person Carl Pavano will be gone,the yankees called in the union and there pressing charges against him.EVERYONE WANT"S TO PLAY FOR THE YANKEES,BECAUSE THEY ARE THE BEST!! 26 World series,the rest are all one hit wonders!!Yea the big chinese star also wants to be a yankee,Every interview i seen him in,,he was wearing a yankee hat,SORRY ALL YOU OTHER ONE HIT WONDERS!!!

If the Cubbies are smart, Kerry Wood will be a free agent starting IMMEDIATELY.
Jason Schmidt and Barry Zito are the big prizes but don't forget Daisuke Matsuzaka (from the World Baseball Classic) is up for bidding this year...Roger Clemens' contract was only for one year, which means he's likely up for grabs as well.
If you really want him, Wade Miller is up for re-signing after the 2006 season is up, too.

Barry Zito is the biggest name on the market, but there are several others:
Jason Schmidt
Mark Buehrle
Vicente Padilla
Ted Lilly
Tony Armas
Randy Wolf
Kerry Wood
Schmidt and Buehrle could each pitch near the top of a rotation, and I think several of those guys could help teams in the middle of their rotations.
