diwali always comes wen winter is starting, and all dry fruits r suposed to give heat to the body wen eaten, so if u eat them, u fell feel warm, so its mostly logic than any religious reason, oh that reminds me, i dint ate todays quota of my dry fruits, thanku

There is no significance of dry fruits during diwali. It is only every one greets other with some gift and hence the gifting of dry fruits

Yeah there is no significance to the festival.....but the reason is Diwali coming winter so that people thinks dry fruits will be good for health. Even you can buy them from the site Floweraura.com

no significance except tht gifts are given during diwali and since sweets cause too much sweetness, everybody being diet conscious, people give dry fruits

there is no significance really, to bring variety & also to show a sign of status dry fuits were introduced as a gift during diwali. slowly its become a norm or tradition whichever way u look at it.

No significance to the festival at all...
Where as, the person gifting it will be remembered longer and better... a bit costlier than normal sweets, and will be consumed a bit later at leisure, exclusively, and so will be mentioned in isolation from crowd of other gifts.
