I'm a die hard Bears fan, and I have been doing a lot big Bears talk on the answers here and I fully expected an absolute blow out for the Cardinals Monday night, but Matt Leiner really deserves a hats off for last night I think. Was he really good or did he just catch the Bears on a bad night defensively?

matt LEINART played one of the best games a rookie QB could have played. 2 TDs and 0 picks against the great bears defense? yeah, that was something.

the only turnover he had was not his fault. his own right tackle failed to block a defender and he got blind-sided.

The bears did exactly what they said they would do which was try to put pressure on the young QB. Leinart did an excellent job of reading the defense and getting rid of the ball. Anyone outside of Chicago saw that it was the same Chicago defense that has been playing all year, they didn't have a bad game, they just got beat by the Arizona offense for most of the game. Chicago's defense wasn't their problem last night, the problem was that Arizona also put pressure on Grossman and unlike Leinart, Grossman couldn't handle it. For all these bears fans to downplay the way the Cardinals hung with them just shows a lack of class. Leinart and the entire Cardinals team played one hell of a game against a Bears team that threw everything they had at them.

As a Raider fan, Matt Leinerts performance last night made me sick, knowing the Raiders passed on him. That guy played a hella of a game and made me excited about football again. I love his attitude and poise in the pocket. You cant train those kind of intangibles.

being a Bears fan, I'd have to say he caught them on a bad night--that isn't to say that he didn't do an exceptional job taking advantage of that...but i think we saw that againt the "real" Bears defense, he was pretty useless. If our defense didn't wait until the end of the game to show up there's no way he would have put those points on the board...my two cents.

Hes good, but he caught the Bears on a bad night. Indoor stadium is what gave the bears the problem.
