What I am to understand is from it is that you should be prepared for the worst. Don't wait to go hunting until your hungry because by the time your hungry you might not be able to hunt.

They say don't go shopping when you are hungry cos you buy anything.Maybe if you go hunting on an empty stomach you'll shoot anything! So yes i think it means be prepared in what you are doing.

it means that you should plan.in romanina there is another saying that says that a smart man will always build a sledge in the summer and a charriot in the winter, which basically means the same thing
