I was invited to a childrens birthday party (family) and my sister and niece said to me I will meet you there I still have to buy something. I am curious why people wait to the very last minute to buy gifts? Christmas time people like to shop on Christmas eve why?

My husband always waits for the last minute to by for his side of the family. I think that it puts him in the "Christmas Spirit" to do it all a few days before.

I do it because I am a procrastinator and I hate shopping. But I always pick out great gifts for people when I finally do go out shopping in December, all my friends and family agree. It's funny, I do the best job when I feel rushed and running out of time. That's when I wrote some of my best papers in college. My method is stressfull, but works for me.

I do all of it in 10 minutes in 2 aisles at Costco for approximately 8 human beings. the subsequent morning I pay attention, "I observed this at Costco the day in the past on the instant". yet my presents protecting getting used for years.

I hear for the sales as far as Christmas. I have to say sometimes it is a money issue, as far as my family you don't find out in time to do anything but last minute. I know a lot of times for the people I know they do wait till around November but we all have so much going on day to day it gets overlooked.

Maybe it isn't a priority for them.....I personally start Chritmas shopping at the end of summer for my daughter, I can usually get great deals on summer clothes for next year!! Also, maybe waiting til the last minute is a money thing, maybe can't afford to shop til the last minute and try to get in on some last minute deals??

It's part of the Christmas Holiday and you can get last minute sales. We already started X-mas shopping and spent over 500$ on our 2 little boys, it's that time of yr!

It is because they arer trying to sale the last dollar by going to every store to find a sale in if they find one cheaper then the other they will take it back to the store.

Alot of people hate to shop so they put it off as long as they can and then do it all at the last minute.

Well I know for me it's usually because i don't have the money until then. When u work on a budget it's sometimes hard to squeeze in extra gifts and such. But, if God intends on me giving that gift or making a way, it is usually at the last minute which is better than no time at all. :)
