I know its cliche, but time. As time passes it gets easier and you don't feel so rotten. Take care of yourself, its okay to be sad.

I used to think not, but I have since changed my opinion. I thought that I would love my husband forever (we were married for 18 years). I thought that I could never love another man like I loved him. I was wrong. He cheated. He lied to me. I left him and am now living with another man, who I love much more than I ever loved my ex. My ex and I still talk frequently because he knows me so well. I guess you could say we're friends even. But, the thing is that I DO NOT love him in any romantic way, it's very much like a brother now - someone I grew up with.

You DO get over love, it just takes time and the belief that it's all for the good. You will be fine and life does indeed go on.

Been there, done that and yes. You can get over them but you will never forget them. It took me 10 years to fall in love again. The in between relationships are tough to manage because you'll either have fear that they will hurt you too or just a fear in general of losing them. But it's all a part of growing stronger.
The most important thing to remember is to forgive them or the source to where your anger for losing that person is directed, so that you don't become bitter.
It's a long road and I wish you the best on this journey.

Yes it is very possible. I have only been in love once and in lust many times. It takes a while to get over the person. It took me 7 years and to this day I am about 95% over him but in the end I know things are better for us today. Just take time to reflect and eventually you will be fine.

Not really. You will get over the pain and heartache of losing your love. Given time, it can become a sweet memory that makes you smile. Or it may become a bitter pill every time you think of the situation. It's up to you to choose. The love you had will always be a small part of your ongoing transformation.

how do you know that you really love that person? did you ask yourself that question. If it is really love that you wouldnt have to get over that person. And if you do really love that person than maybe the possiblity of the situation ending well, as in you wont have to get over that person, will be more of a chance that you think.

No I always think that once you set your heart on someone you will always love them. Trust me I know from first hand but if you wanted to move on you can do it with some time and a little bit of courage that you will find someone else

Not in my experience - if it's truly love, that never dies altogether. That doesn't mean you can't love someone else, and your feelings may change from being "in love" with a person, but they'll always have a special place in your heart.

Yes, it takes time and it's not easy, some people will always hold a special place in your heart even though they are not in your life. But definitely it is possible to move on, learn to enjoy being single again, and eventually find love again :)

I think you can move on and love again. Now this is just my opinion but true love last forever. You'll learn that with time it's just easier to forget and not think about it but it's just the same as you will always love your mom, dad, brother, sister or your own children. Love is unconditional and forever if it's not then it wasn't love to begin with.
