I have had lips that cracked and chapped my whole life, but since I had to go on an oxygen mask while having my daughter two years ago I have had a split down the middle of my lower lip. There are no chapsticks that work. (I've spent a ridiculous amount on them all and they dont help) Not only is the split not healing, but its getting slightly bigger all the time. I am now considering getting stitches, to hold it closed til it heals. anyone else have this problem? i would love some advice.

I have had good luck with neosporin lip treatment..funny, it was dry last week and I split my lip through..man did/does that hurt.

Truly, your lip should heal up on it's own if you keep it moisturized. Lip tissue heals very fast. I'd see a dermatologist if it is not bettter in 5-7 days

Try using a liberal amount of Carmex at night and before bed your lips should be very soft and fine by morning but if your using the oxygen mask the air will be causes a more drying effect than usually so apply a small thin amount as need. Hope this helps and Good Luck to you.

attempt including somewhat water to 3 baking soda and rub it on for form of two minutes. it incredibly is going to exfoliate your lips and afterwords throw somewhat chapstick on and forget with regards to the lack of wisdom from that person I certainly have been in this catch 22 situation earlier.

never had that problem, try vitamin e oil, vitamin e is the healing vitamin, put the oil directly on the lip, but you may need a stitch or two
