I know this was a question for men, but if you look at this from a designer's point of view, pointy shoes can proportion a body very nicely, if they're paired with nice long trousers. If a woman is short and wears rounded shoes, they might be covered up by her pants, so she'll look like she has no feet. A pointy toed shoe (if covered up all the way by jeans except for the point) will balance out her body and make her look lean. It's very sexy as long as the pants aren't short, because if they are, she'll look like an elf;) lol.
I can understand why men may NOT like them, because some women do not know how to wear them and they end up looking ridiculous. Pointy toed shoes are meant to have a higher heel and meant to be paired with jeans for the most appropriate look. If a woman wears a skirt, she should go for a pump rather than a flat pointed-toe shoe.

Apparently you know very little about fashion. Peep toe shoes aren't "new" they have been in and out for the last 4-5 decades! Pointy shoes, I hate. But then I'm a girl an I am the one who has to wear them. They can look really stylish but are really uncomfortable and can alter your feet for years and years.
Peep toed shoes are more comfy that pointed and actually look nicer! I agree with you on the sandals, they are lovely! Lol, not much use!

Pointy toed heels are the sexiest! With my personal opinion expressed, they type of shoe someone wears does say a lot about the personality, especially if the shoe is inappropriate for the situation. Flip flops at in an office, wrong! Heeled pumps at a teen-girls soccer tournament( I saw it last night) also wrong.

Peek-toe and high heels are absolutely the most attractive footwear for a woman. The new styles are terrible and look absolutely ridiculous on the person wearing them. Stop buying this crap! and it will go away.
Accenting her legs and feet is a sure way for any woman to dress up and look better - even in casual attire.

honestly speaking as a girl, i dont think they look good on everyone but they do look good on somepeople. Each person has there own unquicness therefore each person has a different outcome of the style in the first place

Being female... no they look like girls are trying way to hard and they make you look fake. No guy in his right mind is attracted to fake. Being natural is the best way to go.
Plus... why torch er yourself... they are way to hard to walk in... I tried once and almost broke the earth.
