My morning, or should I say "all day and night" sickness started around 6 or 7 weeks, soon after I found out I was pregnant. I felt terrible day and night until the first week of my second trimester. My doc explained that with some, hormones are greater and this is the main cause of the sickness. When the second trimester starts, these hormones change. My doc told me at 10 weeks not to worry and that it would be better in 3 weeks, but when you feel that crappy 3 more minutes is too long. I was pleasantly surprised that he was correct, and I felt like a million bucks once the first trimester was over.
The things I did to feel better were to eat saltines and ginger ale, just the same as when you have stomach virus. I heard about these things called "preggie pops" after I was done being sick, but heard they work well. I know you can buy them at Babies R Us, not sure where else. There's something in the lollipop that calms the stomach.
Lots of luck, I know how terrible you feel and trust me, it will get better. Hang in there.

I had morning sickness starting around week 7 and it lasted until week 18. I hate to say it, but it's a bunch of crap that it only lasts for the first trimester! Your body is getting used to all the hormones changing from day to day. Try to eat frequent, small meals so you don't get too sick.
What worked for me was eating something sweet - twizzlers, gum drops, ginger ale, etc - just a little and once my stomach settled, I was able to eat a meal. You can also try some warm tea, that worked for me too. But you'll have to experiment with what ever works. sometimes it's just comfort foods - mashed potatoes, mac & cheese... you'll figure it out.
Remember that a LOT of pregnant women went through this. And it will get better at some point. Enjoy being pregnant! it really is wonderful.

My morning sickness hit at 9 weeks. Unfortunately for me, it never went away. I tried everything and nothing helped. I had it morning, noon and night until the day I had my daughter. At 6 months I was given Phenergen and it helpeda little, but I still felt naseous (sp?) all the time and had an occasional vomit attack every couple of days. It was amazing how it vanished the second I had her. I do NOT miss it and part of the reason why I NEVER want to be preggo again. "but every pregnancy is different..." Why risk it? LOL
My mom was the same way with me and my sisters. My older sister never had morning sickness. I'm glad I was the lucky one HA

I'm 8 weeks too and just started feeling like crap last week, in my experience, as this is number four for us, it usually ends by the end of the first trimester. At that point your hormones will taper off and your body will become more accustomed to being pregnant :) Of course, it's downhill after that, then you have to worry about seeing your feet, backaches, feet under your ribs....lol Just kidding, it's all great and worth it, but you should feel better in the coming weeks. Good luck!

It started for me around 8 weeks. By 16 weeks I had LOST 12 lbs and was severely dehydrated. My doc prescribed a few different things but nothing worked. I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis. Hyper-extreme emesis-vomiting. It can cause malnutrition. I had a picc line (portable i.v.) put in. and was on i.v. fluids and Benedryl for 5 months. The picc line was removed the day after I gave birth. This isn't to scare you - it is rare!! Just make sure you eat!! And stay hydrated! Also, talk to your doc about it. There are medications that work for most people. Hope you feel better soon!

My morning sickness started in week 6 and continued with all-day nausea and vomiting through last Friday (15 weeks, 2 days). As of last Saturday, *keeping my fingers crossed and knocking on wood*, I feel much better and have a voracious appetite.
Hang in there, it may be a ways off, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Before I knew I was pregnant, I had a loss of appetite. I didn't feel any nausea, I just didn't eat as much. I believe I was about 7 weeks when my morning sickness hit and when it hit, it hit me hard! It started on Father's Day. I was out to dinner with my husband's family to this restaurant that I usually enjoy when all of a sudden, I couldn't stand the smell. It was so bad that I didn't finish my dinner and most of the time I had my face buried into my husband's sleeve to avoid the smell. From that point on, I was nauseous, tired and couldn't keep anything down for the next 11 weeks. The only thing I could keep down was pasta. My friends kept telling me that it would go away when I was about 13-15 weeks. Mine didn't go away until I was 18 weeks. All of a sudden, I felt 100% better and it was as if I was never sick to begin with. My energy level increased significantly. I was afraid that my morning sickness was going to last me throughout my pregnancy because my mom told me that she had morning sickness from beginning to end with me and my 3 brothers. Thankfully, it's been gone for about 6 weeks now. I still feel nauseous when I smell certain things but it's not nearly as bad as it was before. My husband has been wanting to go back to that restaurant where it all started, but I can't seem to bring myself to go back. Just the though makes me feel sick. Hope you don't get it as bad as I did. I lost some weight in the beginning because I couldn't keep anything down.
Good luck and CONGRATS!

I'm only 7 weeks pregnant now and it started when I was about 4. My previous two children I was okay with. My daughter I had no idea I was pregnant, she did't give me any morning sickness what so ever. My son, oh my God!! It hit me at about 5 months and lasted till I was about 5 MONTHS!!! Everyone's body is different though. Eat crackers!! It really does help, and drink a lot of water. Sorry you feel so horrible!! It's all worth it when you have your baby, the moment you look at him/her, you won't remember any of the uncomfortable stuff!!

With my first it actually started when I was 3 months long. I ended up having to take zofram for it. I ended up in the hossy from dehydration and so forth.
This time around (I'm almost 6 weeks) It started right away. If it doesn't clear soon I'm going to prolly have to get back on the zofram.
lemondae with potato chips actually help. (it counteracts the salivae in the mouth or something to that effect)
I found that fruit like oranges help or EVEN better there's the edy's or welchs real fruit popsicles... they're good and help keep you hydrated.

I was about 5 weeks when it started, and it lasted all day- I was a little over 4 and a half months when it stopped.
The only thing I can tell you is that I still ate what I craved, and all that- just in moderation. It sounds gross, but chocolate tastes the same coming up as it did going down. (So does ice cream).
Good luck and Congrats...
