as i don't live in the u.s i hve asked a lot of questions on politics of different countries,and as it stands out americans can't bear being told the truth.about the war crimes their country commited in the past and in the present moment in iraq.i'm glad the rest of the world is not brain washed as the american public are?thats real freedom of speech and being told the truth.

They evade the truth in almost every aspect of their lives, most are caught up in some fantasy world trance or their life should be like what they see on Television. Heck they buy the massive propaganda that's highly censored on main stream media! They all walk around as if a bunch of robots that have been programed what to say & do! Some percentage do have the ability to actually think independantly!

Well thats a load of horse puckey. Just the fact that not all of us agree with Bushs policies tell you that we know whats going on in the world. There are several Middle Eastern countries who feel they won the wars against Israel because Israel gave up land for a try at peace. And no paper told them differernt. We have a variety of news outlets, not one of them is government run or approved, although some are more or less sympathetic to the administration. We have the choice who to watch and who to believe. If, as you say, we can't bear the thought that we may have commited war crimes, then it makes sense because we like to think we are better people than that. Theres nothing wrong with that.

We Americans, at least the free-thinking ones, know the truth. Unlike foreigners, who long to come to America, we have the right to publicly complain of our government. If our government wronged your people in the past, then take it up with either the State Dept., Dept. of Justice, or your local embassy.
Also, one is not "told the truth" by any government. You have to research and uncover the truth, plain and simple. The rest of the world may not be brainwashed, yet the wish to come here and get brainwashed. For all our pseudo-freedoms, why is the rest of the world so JEALOUS OF THE UNITED STATES?

power. One lie from our President should send him to jail forever.

Hollywood teaches them that they have won every war (especially Vietnam & Korea), including of course the Crusades, Troy, and helped keep Britain safe from King John! They captured the enigma machine from a German U-Boat (submarine for Americans) 2 years before entering the second world war! Hell they even raised democracy for gladiators in Ancient Rome!
To complain that Ford sold you a heap of junk is unpatriotic, to drink French wine is unpatriotic because the French won't join our war, and to criticise their country in any way, and not treating it like Thomas More's Utopia is unpatriotic. Unpatriotic means your a communist, like Margaret Thatcher was a communist (not as right wing as the Democrats). Communist means your Chinese? about then, they lose track of their argument, and threaten to invade you.

It would help if Americans were told the truth by their "leaders" in government. We tend to believe what we are told by those in power in Washington. If they tell us there are WMD's in Iraq many believe it.
