As long as your laptop has a PCMCIA card slot you will be fine.

Hmm I never knew that Verizon gave out the cards. But no you will not be able to use a regular desktop wireless card in a laptop cause a Desktop card is way to big. You will need a PCMCIA wireless card for a laptop. If they do give out their own wireless cards then ask for that.

If they don't give out wireless cards then that makes everything differnt you would then need to go buy a wireless PCMCIA Card and it can be any brand but have to be the type of wireless verion they use (a, b, or g). Follow the directions on connecting to the internet that they would give you. Most laptops already come with a built in wireless feature. I would check on that before I buy a new card.

Laptops usually have wireless solutions built in already. You shouldn't have to use another solution, and you can't use a desktop card in a laptop, two different types of hardware. If Verizon is your provider, ask them if you need it for the alienware, and visit alienware website to look over the specs for your model....

All laptops can handle a wireless net card. That IS the point of laptops, after all. The only laptops with BUILT-IN wireless are those branded as 'CENTRINO'. If you have a centrino based laptop, then you won't need another card. If you don't have centrino then the verizon card is what you need. good luck!

Yes, if it's compatible and there's a slot in your alienware for wireless cards.
