@ Time-skip Neji vs Kisame
At the end, it's Gai fighting Kisame if I remember closely in the Gaara Kazekage ark.
Neither of Gai's team are hurt too badly.

time skip Neji looks more bad *** because he has taken his hyuuga heritage quite literaly, he wears garments similar to Hiashi. Is there any validity to the rumor that Neji is to be Kisame's final opponent?

no he is not dead if u are talking about when naruto, shikamaru, chouji, kiba, and neji look for sasuke. I've already seen episode 152 on youtube and he is still alive

neji is not dead(a few brushes with death but not dead) byakugan eye lets him (correct me if i'm wrong)see lots of things including his opponemts next attack.
