What do you think of these choices?
Jesse McCartney-Beautiful Soul
Vitamin C- Graduation Song
Chris Isaak& or Beach Boys/ Grad Day
Simple Minds- Dont Forget about me
Carrie Underwood- Dont forget to remember me
Rod Stewart - Forever Young
Plus One - My Friend.

Help me to narrow this down?

My class used "My Way" by Elvis Presley because it was the only song anyone knew how to play on the piano when we were selecting a song. It represented our class well and 30 years later we are very happy with the selection.

It depends on what kind of mood you want to have. If a little sad and contemplative at the thought of leaving their friends, and childhood, you could have "I will remember you" by Sarah McLachlan. Then there's the infamous "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter (played on American Idol when the contestants got voted off.) There's also "My Friend" by plus ONE, which is PERFECT for departing friends. However, it is religious, so you might have some problems if you are showing it at the school.
"Don't forget to Remember me" by Carrie Underwood.

What are you planning to use the song for? Because, depending on the project, you could cut parts out that you don't like, or only have the chorus if you don't particularly like the rest of the song.

I hope this helps. :)

forever young by rod stewart that song is so perfect if you listen to the lyrics it will fit in so perfectly with the graduating class i think they will love it.
FOREVER YOUNG
(R. Stewart/J.Cregan/K.Savigar)

May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
surround you when you're far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young

May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
with a prince or a vagabond

And may you never love in vain
and in my heart you will remain
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young
Forever Young

And when you finally fly away
I'll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell

But whatever road you choose
I'm right behind you, win or lose
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young ,Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young
For, Forever Young, Forever Young

Green Day - Good Riddance

Another turning point;
a fork stuck in the road.

Time grabs you by the wrist;
directs you where to go.

So make the best of this test
and don't ask why.

It's not a question
but a lesson learned in time.

It's something unpredictable
but in the end is right.
I hope you have the time of your life.

So take the photographs
and still frames in your mind.

Hang em on a shelf
of good health and good time.

Tattoos of memories
and dead skin on trial.

For what it's worth,
it was worth all the while.

It's something unpredictable
but in the end is right.
I hope you have the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable
but in the end is right.
I hope you have the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable
but in the end is right.
I hope you have the time of your life.

"Worlds Greatest" R.Kelly (great great song)

Lyrics:
I am a mountain
I am a tall tree
ooooh, I am a swift wind,
Sweepin' the country

I am a river,
Down in the valley
ooooh, I am a vision
And I can see clearly

If anybody asks you who I am
Just stand up tall
Look 'em in the face and say

Chorus
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey I made it, mmmmmm
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it, mmmmmm
I'm the world's greatest
(the worlds greatest, worlds greatest , for ever )

I am a giant
I am an eagle
ooh, I am a lion
Down in the jungle

I am a marchin' band
I am the people
ooh, I am a helping hand
I am a hero

If anybody asks you who I am
Just stand up tall
Look 'em in the face and say

Chorus

In the ring of life i'll rain love (i will rain)
and the world will notice a king (oooohhhhh yahhhhh)
when there is darkness i'll shine a light (shine a light)
and views of success reflect in me

Repeat Chorus to fade

An easy upbeat/party song is "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang, but it's done alot. "A Moment Like This" (Kelly Clarkson), "I'll Remember" (Madonna), "Seasons of Love" (RENT - musical), "This is the Moment" (It was used in Jekyll and Hyde, but I think it's an older song than that... Clay Aiken has a version somewhere?) would be a few of my suggestions.
