I purchased a used Jetta from a dealership 4 months ago. It has given me nothing but problems from day one. The "service" at the dealership is terrible. Pretty much they took my money and ran. I'm considering turning them into the BBB. I'm just looking for some advice on what to expect. Should I request the take the car back? Should I ask for a dollar amont I feel is fair for my hassle? Should I request they fix each and every problem (again) at their cost? Honestly, I'm at the end of my rope. I hate the car and the dealership. I want nothing more to do with either. I just feel stuck in a crappy situation!

I beleive every state has what they call a "lemon law". That is, if you purchase a car that has nothing but problems, you can get your money back from where you got it legally. Research this (look it up online) or get a lawyer's advice. They made this law just for these situations. go to www.lemonlawamerica.com for more info.

Besides signing an "as is" or a warranty agreement on the car.. Did they show you by any chance a document that would have been through Car Fax or something along those lines telling you whether the car had ever been in a wreck and other problems it had before they had the car? IF So, and you signed it.......chances are there's not much can be done.......but if they never showed anything like that to you and you didn't sign anything like that (you'd have a copy if you did) then you'd be able to get your money back and all the expenses you spent on that car through the Lemon Law case.
Consult yourself an attorney and check the BBB with that company. Don't just turn the dealership in, go for the jugular..Sounds like they screwed you big time but really check through all your papers and see what all you signed and don't forget to check out all the fine prints too!
Good luck!

Are there 'lemon laws' in your state? If there are you should consult a lawyer-- actually- contact one anyway. Most lawyers will give you a free consultation. Have all your documentation ready when you talk to him/her. That way you can present your problem efficiently and they can see the facts. It sounds to me like you have a case.
You can always give the dealership one last chance to correct everything just to bolster your position if they screw it up again. I would try to call the deal off but there may be a time limit to when that can be done. Check your purchase agreement for details [most likely the fine print].
If they fail to respond in a manner that is acceptable i.e. not making actual repairs etc. then contact the lawyer AND the B.B.B. to put the pressure on.
Good luck and have a great day!!!

The BBB really can't do anything for you. All they do is keep records of complaints filed against various companies. I don't know what state your in, but many states have a "LEMON LAW". Under this law if a dealer sells you a defective vehicle that cannot be repaired after a specific number of attempts ( in NJ it's 3), they must either refund your money (you'll return the car) or replace the car with a new one. Check your states department of consumer affairs for details.
Good Luck

If you signed an "as is" clause on any of the sales papers you're stuck. When a dealer sells a car "as is" and does not offer a warranty there isn't anything you can do.

If you have a warranty on the car then yeah they have to fix it if you don't and yo bought it as is then i don't know what to tell you. you can try and go to court over it but there is a good chance you won't get any thing for it.
