Maybe nominating a South Korean official will open our eyes to the NORK's ambitions and lies ?

Maybe a few more questions can also be asked here....?

(A)Do you believe that North Korea has the right to possess nuclear weapons to defend itself against what it calls ' United States Agression' ?

(B) Does North Korea have a right to protect itself against threats from the 'West' ? (even if their reasons seem beyond reasonable comprehension)?

(C) Is Kimmie a complete nutcase or does he actually have some points to prove ?

(d) What positive effect can this latest North Korean ourburst possibly acheive for North Korea's Citizens, who are currently already borderlining the poverty mark ?

(e) Is North Korea just trying to influence support in their own direction from enemies of America,by encouraging enemies of the 'West' to go against America and its Allies, by defying International opinions and concerns relating to it's Nuclear Tests ?

I don't really care who is in charge of the UN. The UN is about as useless an organization as has ever existed on the face of this planet. North Korea has the right to attempt to develop weapons technology as all nations do. However the world also has the right to say we do not want you armed. Every country has a right to defend their sovereignty against attack, but they do not have the right to threaten the world without incurring a harsh response. There is nothing positive which can come of North Korea's nuclear ambitions. Responsible nations possess nuclear weapons and generally do not threaten their use openly. North Korea as of yesterday has called UN sanctions an act of war and states we are a nuclear power now and won't put up with it. This is not responsible behavior from any leader. The North Korean leader is an insane dictator who is leading his country into oblivion. Even traditional allies like China cannot stomach his actions. I don't think North Korea is a particular threat to the United States at this time, but the same is not true of their neighbors like South Korea and Japan. It will only be a matter of time before strong action will be taken by some nation if they continue on this course undeterred.

No Way!!! not after the NORK's a few months ago launched 2 long range ballistic missiles, one off the coast of Japan and one headed toward Hawaii. With that plus nuclear warheads this cant be a good situation. And yes Kimmie is a nutcase.

1) If he is more honest than the last one I guess it is okay. Still feel the the US needs to get out of the UN.
2)No, it was given nuclear technology in order to build power plants so has already proved it can not be trusted.
3)What threats from the west. Even China is not backing N. Korea.
4) He is a complete nut case.
5)Yes and seeing as most countries only see the bad in America they will succeed.

Next time don't be so cheap use multiple questions don't put so many questions on one question.

North Korea is a very limited and closed off from society kind of country. Their are only 55 television sets in the country and they are all pre tuned to political channels. Everything they see and hear is less the influence of outside truth. Their people are being led by a madman who although is in possession of weapons, They are not an immediate threat to the USA other than to go against the UN. It is in our best interest to protect and aid Japan and China against the threat that Kim Jong IL is to them.

They are children burning ants with a magnifying glass... They need the USA to come up behind them and grab them by the ear and shake their people free of the ant bully!

Their threat is smaller than they lead their own country and inhabitants to believe, within North Korea, all of the citizens are actually told and therefore believing that they are somehow a threat to the USA. They are enjoying their false beliefs and being led down a road that they do not realize is dangerous to them. North Koreans actually believe through the influence of their ONE source of News and politics that they are becomming a superpower.

They are no threat... They are not very much at all. They are impoverished, lied to and being told to sacrifice for the promise of a freedom and a power they will never have or know. and it is very, very unfortunate the way they live and how yet another Hitler type of dictator has brainwashed an entire nation and taken advantage of a people into his own personal insane agenda.

If we have to worry about anyone right now... I believe that we should be worrying about everything and everyone in Pakistan and even India. They are too far into our culture, to advanced and intelligent, they are funded by american money, and completely and totally dishonest and two faced as a nation! They are uncertain as to their own allegances and never quite admit outright which side they are on. One thing we do know for certain however, is they hate Jeruslaem and the jewish people. Knowing we support both and knowing they are so close to the enemy borders... They basically need to sh*it or get off the pot and quit sitting on the fence. They are NOT switzerland!

and too close to the terrorists for any reasonable ammount of comfort.

Not to mention, they have had nuclear capabilities for years... A great number of their people are actually born with birth defects from working in the nuclear power plants without adequate protection. Entire villages have massive physical deformities.

Any one indivisual, group or any country willing to expose their people to that kind of cause, or even just a job doing something they KNOW will cause physical deformitivies... is someone to worry about!

No. We may never hear DPRK's side of the story but the international community has spoken out against their actions and we have an obligation to stand against them reguardless of the consequences. I think the fact that another nation is violating their treaty and developing nuclear weapons to threaten our country is a clear sign that we've failed in diplomacy with North Korea

Do I see censorship here. What I was saying was in a Democratic society did I just dream it takes a 12 person party vote to launch any weapon of mass destruction???????? Shouldn't the concern be keeping those who already are alive feed. Like Bob Dylan says in his song "When u gonna wake up". I think some of those old school leaders should be ushered out to make room for more progressive minded persons. They r like kids "Playing cowboys and Indians." Grow the !!!!!!!!up. And to be very blunt teach Birth control on a global level.

ABSOLUTELY!! If he has the right personality and the right qualities to pursue a world campaign for restoring the UN's credibility, sense of purpose and involvement in world issues that would be a great thing, and it wouldn't matter where he comes from south korea, tim buck tu or the sea for that matter.

Does North Korea have a right to have nukes? well... as much of a right as anyone else I guess... Is it smart for them, not at all... they're going to PlSS everyone else off... They're just trying to get some attention so the rest of the world will think they're a legitimate country again... the problem is they have no econmy and without China they would cease to exist... and who cares about the UN they have about as much legitimacy to the US as N.Korea.
