I'm a man and I have actually done some research on it.
The number of men who wear make-up has grown considerably in recent years. There are several very popular lines of make-up made just for men, and they have more masculine cases to make the men feel comfortable with it.
For powder, it is called Shine Reducer. So far, I have only used shine reducer. I have very oily skin, and I've used cleansing products to reduce the shine...but let's face it, you can't get rid of oily skin. So I bought some shine reducer. It actually helped. It's amazing how a very subtle matte makes a person look better.
Nobody has ever been able to notice and I don't look "made up" at all. There are also types of foundation, but I forget what they call it. I would consider using it if it were very light and didn't look obvious.
I think men should have the right to improve their appearance, without feeling ashamed. Trust me, some of us could really use it ;)
I also talked to a friend who does makeup work for models. He gave me a different perspective. He said the whole "makeup for men" was a bit of a scam, and recommended MAC because they work well for both genders.
So that's my feedback on it. If you look at popular men's magazines, you'll see there is a lot of talk about make-up for men, and believe me it's happening.

I think that concealer is a good idea for everyone.
For example, last Christmas my 14yr old brother was not happy that my dad wanted to take lots of photos of him as his face was breaking out. I told him to shut up and dabbed on a little concealer and the day went smoothly.
Eyeliner is a good idea for some. Depending on the shape of the eyes eyeliner can look good or bad. I think that when going out to a bar, where the lighting is dark, and everyone features are a little bit flattened, eyeliner (applied as a very fine line, very close to the lashes) can be a good idea. Black if the lashes are black, dark brown if the lashes are dark brown and the base, and light brown if the lashes are light brown.
I also do not recommend colors.
And I recommend that, at least for the first time, a guy should go to a make-up counter. MAC is good for people of all genders. Because there you can have the make-up artist/sales person show you the right way to apply make up properly, and they will find the best colors for your skin tone. (c'mon, you're not interested in make up because you want to save money and end up shoving a pencil in your eye. You want to look good - spend the money.)

I'm actually not freaked out by the thought of men wearing a bit of concealer to cover their pimples, or tinting their eyelashes.
I think color make up, lipstick, eyeshadow etc is a bit much.
Although Boy George does a brilliant job with his make up!

You all are crazy, why would a man want to wear make up? Actors and models, yes, but only when they are on the set. I don't want a man that spends more time in the bathroom than I do. Everyday make-up wear by a man is really creepy!

this sounds weired but.. i dont mind if men wear a bit of makeup.. if u look at all some men in films they look really good and they are wearing a lot of makeup.. imagine what they looked like without it! i think a tiny bit of concealer and foundation is ok to cover zits and dark circles.. but i really dont like to see men who wear a lot of eye makeup.. i think all that stuff is just designed for women.

why not?actors do it and all the women are crazy over them, just don't wear make-up that women can see a mile away, keep it natural ,make it look like you're not even wearing any and that you're naturally handsome.

I think it's fine to wear makeup if it enhances. I would consider wearing clear mascara just to make my lashes somewhat longer.
