I like to watch movies basically by their trailers. I have picks on actor and actresses but most of the time I can tell a good movie, just by it trailer.

It really depends on the movie actually.

Alot of modern Hollywood drivel is such crap that I cannot imagine why anyone would watch the flicks on the merit of their so-called "stories" or whatever...

To me, unless the film is on a subject that interests me (which is getting more rare with Hollywood films) , I won't watch a film unless some actors/actresses in there I love. Some feature both some substance and fine hunk actors, like X-men (Hugh Jackman), and After The Sunset (Pierce!) for examples only.

Hope this answers your question!

It depends really. Sometimes I watch for the storyline, and other times I watch because certain actors/actresses are in it. If someone like Kevin Spacey, Jodi Foster or Edward Norton is in the movie, you pretty much know it's worth watching.

I will look into movies because of actors…but in the end the plot drives my decision. I see movies that look like they have a story that will pull me in and keep me entertained for two hours.

I am, of course, disappointed much of the time.

sometimes i think if a certain actor is in the movie i might be more likely to watch, however i am drawn to crime movies and such so the person isn;t necessarily the main reason

it's all about the trailer. it doesn't matter who's in the movie to me. if i see the trailer and it seems like something i would enjoy i'll check it out.

also, if i'm just out and about and decide to watch a movie on a whim i'll just look at the poster.

what's the difference? there's a 99% chance it's really gonna suck.

I will watch a movie based on content, what it's supposed to be about. Then I will see a preview of it and decide from there if it's worth my time to go see.

the story, how real is it..
a particular actor may spark my interest, but if the story sucks, i won't watch it. i'll watch a movie if it looks interesting to watch....
