I am on the pill, and was just wondering what works best for other women. I am thinking about switching to the shot. Any tips or advice?

O GOD>.. DONT GET THE SHOT... DOCTORS DO NOT TELL PEOPLE THIS... But they say 1 out of 10 women will NEVER be able to conceive or at least have a VERY hard time after being on the shot for 1 year, HOWEVER, me and my 4 girlfriends got on the shot when we were in high school... They never told us those statistics... NONE OF US CAN CONCEIVE! We've been trying for 3 or MORE years, and no luck... I never wanted kids when i was in high school... I thought Id never ever want them... but people really do change, and here I am at 26 and in the best overall health of my life, and cant conceive because I was on the shot 7 years ago! Its been an ONGOING problem in all of our lives, I thank god we have eachother, but wouldnt wish this on anyone.

I'm on the shot, and love it. I have no periods anymore, no worries. Don't have to remember taking a pill every day, just a shot every 3 months.
Yes, I have heard many horror stories about the shot...NO complaints here. Of course everyones body reacts differently to stuff, some of my girfriends have horror stories with the pill, so you never know until u try it. But I highly recommend it.

Swallowing....... The best form I've found, keeps your man happy and no need to worry about getting pregnant.

i'm on the shot, i think its great, your advised though to only be on it for 2 years because it lowers your calcium significantly, i take calcium chews everyday
