But when he calls he asks dumb questions like what are you doing When I replied, He then asked what are you cleaning? Is he just hurt and playing hard or is it over? Men, what do you think?

He spounds like he may be having second thoughts. But, I would not even think of letting him back in the house unless he gets some counseling. All he has to do is go to his family doctor and talk it over. Maybe he is anxious...maybe depressed.....but demand he talk his problems with the marriage with a second party and get him to face his issues before you take him back. Maybe, by doing this, you two can fix the issues before he comes back.
I'm divorced and I left the house before I got divorced. I got some counseling before and after the divorce and it really helped. If he is serious about coming back, he will do this for you....if he doesn't...you have your answer.
