I watched Hogan's Heros as a child. I haven't seen it in years but I loved it. At the time, Col Hogan was my favorite character. I cannot remember enough of the show to remember my favorite episode.

I loved that show. My favorite character was Newkirk. He always had some trick up his sleave, lol. I have several favorite episodes. I like the one where Klinck was named,"Commandant of the Year" and received a certificate with little cherubs in the corners, lol. Did you know Werner Klemperer died a few months ago?

I watched this show and was and still am embarassed that someone would have so many stereotypes in a show. First, being a prisoner of war isn't funny and never will be. Second, the Germans were not buffoons. Third, the women on the show were just there for T&A.

This show just reminded me of The Beverly Hillbillies, only set in a prisoner of war camp.

I think it's ironic that the actors playing the main Nazi's (Klink, Schultz, etc) were actually Jewish. One of the actors, Robert Clary, was actually a death camp survivor.
