Is there a casual way to tell my bf that have a male friend matt i met the first day of college we became friends fast and i was considering dating him but my mom was not thrilled he was 22 years old so i told him we should just be friends.He also was still hung up over an ex.gf who cheated on him he seemed emotionally unstable and was constantly depressed. He told me he used to be addictted to drugs (meth) and was going to meetings. I started seeing my bf because talking to matt was like being sucked into a black hole.I really feel a connection with my bf and we have a lot in common/family oriented large families.I told matt yesterday i had a bf and he called me a stupid ***** and that he was going to break both of my legs.I am kind of scared all three of us attend same college. My bf is also a hot head from staten island.

tried to give Matt a hint by avoiding him and not answering his calls but he just did not take a hint.

Your bf shouldn't get mad because your friends with a guy. If he does then you need to break up with him. Things will only get worse if you don't. If he understands and you talking to matt doesn't work then you can tell your bf and see what he can do. With matt it sounds like hes jealous. Let him know that you can still be friends but he needs to stop threatening you and be a friend back. If things get worse you can again tell your bf or get a restraining order against him. You shouldn't have to worry about going to class because you don't know what hes going to do. I would talk to him and see what he has to say and make your decision based on that, but defintely tell your bf. Theres no reason why he should get mad that you have a male friend. Hope this helps. Okay seriously... i don't know what to tell you really... 1: i think you are really messed up because how could you sit there and talk to someone else (that you have an interest in) when you have a boyfriend. 2: I have been through some what the same situation (at college, same class let alone) but this happened when i had broken up with my boyfriend and when i did get back with my boyfriend I told this guy he called me a stupid **** and yeah he threatend me too but i told him i would only like to be friends... . But from my own personally opinion he won't do anything... you stand strong you tell him whats up and then ignore him fom that point on let him know you are completely offened by the way he treated you and you want nothing to do with it (completely ignore him!) and that's that even if there is a confrontation as long as your sure you know who you want to be with well then to hell with the physco! just tell your boyfriend a skimmed part of it incase there is a confrontation... you wouldn't want to be in the dark with something like that would you?

Hey he shouldnt be talking to you like that considering your a girl he was probubly just playing around or just needed to blow some steam just avoid him for the next few days he will calm down

You might have to take legal action. This guy doesn't sound mentally stable and if he doesn't knock it off, press charges. He already threatened you.
