About 6 years ago. It's a terrible thing that our fearless leader sent these wonderful men and women (and continues to) into gunfire with virtually no protection. What's worse is those who STILL support him. No, we didn't start this war. They did, oh about a few thousand years ago. These poverty stricken uneducated people have hated us for nearly as long, and now they actually have a real reason. We have no business there, never have.

Excellent question! If only people knew how little they are actually doing for the troops by saying things like "I support the troops."
The troops have to buy their own armor, for pete's sake. Some military families have to get food stamps in order to feel their families.

Traditionally, the Marines are amphibious assault troops, while army is infantry or armored cavalry. The Marines are also more selective of recruits, i.e., the Army takes lower-quality recruits.
